I Heart Faces- Furry faces!

Love this shot of little Chesty...named after Chesty Puller, the most highly decorated Marine.  Very appropriate, as his owner, Scott (who is also our neighbor) just came back from serving our country in Afghanistan. We are so happy to have our neighbor back!  While he was gone, I took this picture of Chesty for his wife, Heather, to send him...as he had not yet met him!

This is by far one of my favorite images of my daughter...It always makes me wonder what exactly she was thinking about at that moment.  I love how her dress blends in with the autumn colors around her.

Summer fun! I heart faces Photo Challenge!

Labor day- so much fun, but so marking of summer's end.  Took this shot early one morning at a wonderful park they have by the shore down at Sandbridge beach. It was still a bit overcast, so the morning clouds had not yet burned off...and love the effect it gave with the sun barely shining through. My daughter and my nephew were joined at the hip all weekend!

Love this week's theme, being an animal lover myself!  From a recent photo session.  This Freesian is GORGEOUS!  So Majestic.

Beautiful Eyes...

What I love most about my daughter's eyes is not the fact that they are the color of the sky, softly trimmed with beautiful, dark, long lashes...its easy to get mesmerized by them.  What I love MOST about her eyes is how she uses them to see everything with such wonder.  Always studying, always seeking. I wish this phase of her childhood could last forever.  Her Aunt Nikki sent her this magnifying glass as a gift last week, and she has put it down.  She was inspecting my camera "innards" with it when I took this shot.

I Heart Faces - Bright and Vivid

So two things,
1st- I am going to attempt to start blogging, and have been thinking about this name for a while.  I like the idea of storing memories in a place where everyone can see (thus...the Glass Attic...GET IT!) I think  its too late to change from my established brand of Melanie Weyer Photography(www.melanieweyerphotography.com), though I have reserved www.glassatticstudios.com just in case I change my mind :).
2nd - So, starting to enter these weekly challenges, hosted by I Heart Faces...so much fun! Here's my entry for the week. My beautiful daughter...modeling clothes for a clothing line :).
